Providence Oris and Robynn Andracsek, PE, to Host Essential Air Permitting Training Class

Providence Oris, Providence's software and training division, has exciting news. In addition to offering its back-to-back online AERMOD classes, they have added a brand new class to its roster, Essential Air Permitting. The Essential Air Permitting class is an introductory course in air permitting and focuses on basic air permitting topics and practical strategies for compliance management. The Essential Air Permitting class will be instructed by Robynn Andracsek, PE, Providence Senior Air Quality Engineer. Robynn has more than 26 years of experience in air quality consulting and more information on her technical background can be found here. She will introduce the basic concepts of air permitting: the Clean Air Act, pollutants, and applicability. Then, go into the specifics of preparing air permit applications for facilities that are major or minor for PSD and Title V, including BACT analysis. She will also go over Acid Rain, New Source Performance Standards, and Non-attainment. Hands-on exercises will be used to reinforce all the subjects presented. By the end of Essential Air Permitting, attendees will be prepared to return to the office, and, with a little practice, assemble permit applications and demonstrate compliance on their own. The class will be hosted online on December 5, 2022. Anyone from those new to air permits to more experienced environmental staff who want to brush up on their skills will benefit from Essential Air Permitting. This class teaches students basic air permitting topics and practical strategies for compliance management.
