This project was a 7,300 square foot addition to the existing 6,500 square foot museum. The addition included a new high bay exhibition pavilion and toilet facilities. The exhibition pavilion was designed to be 40 feet tall in order to display an aircraft. The new pavilion has a large glass wall facing the street that provides a clear view of the displayed aircraft for any passing audience. The roof of the pavilion is supported by heavy steel beams with 4,000 lb. capacity swivel hoist rings that allow the aircraft to be displayed in a variety of positions, if needed. The addition also included a new toilet building to meet the code required for number of fixtures. Plans for any future expansions were also accommodated in the redesign.
