Phase 1 of the West Grand Terre Beach Nourishment and Stabilization project is the structure demolition and removal of several buildings and structural features prior to construction of the beach and marsh components for this nourishment project. The structures to be demolished and removed include existing lab and dorm buildings, a boat shed and lift, a water cistern, three (3) water tanks, a radio tower and a shack and honeybee farm.  Due to the age of the buildings, regulated hazardous materials such as lead based paints (LBPs) and/or asbestos containing materials (ACM), may potentially be present. The West Grand Terre Demolition Project will not only require the removal of existing buildings and structures, but also the abatement of any hazardous materials within the buildings and structures. Providence assisted CPRA with the services listed on the right.
