Providence to Host Water Webinar “SWPPP and SPCC Compliance: Material, Storage, and Handling”

Providence is hosting a water webinar titled “Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Compliance: Material, Storage, and Handling.”  SWPPP and SPCC plans are required under the Clean Water Act to reduce water quality impacts of facilities. Yvonne Baker and the Providence water quality team will provide insight on using these plans as preventative measures to help alleviate regulatory headaches and costs in the future. About our Water Quality Expert: Yvonne Baker has nearly 20 years of experience in water resources regulation and compliance. She has a wide range of experience with environmental permitting and regulatory compliance, and has been associated with projects that include water quality modeling, water quality standards and assessment, regulatory oversight, and regulation development. Her specific project concentration includes NPDES and state water permitting, negotiations, and compliance; storm water plan development; municipal separate storm sewer system permitting and compliance; TMDL compliance and implementation; sewage sludge and biosolids disposal and permitting; cooling water intake structure regulations (316b); hurricane response; water quality modeling and implementation. Previously as an environmental scientist with the LDEQ, she has prepared hundreds of water discharge permits both for major and minor industrial facilities, and has been involved in every aspect of NPDES water permitting.
