Providence Recognized by LDEQ for Work at Brownfields Site

Providence was recently recognized by the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) for recent project work on a Brownfields site in New Orleans, LA. The project included completing agency negotiations, a Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP), Remedial Investigation Work Plan/Voluntary Remediation Program (VRP) investigation application forms, and Phase II Environmental Site Assessment (ESA), including soil and groundwater sampling and asbestos and lead paint surveys, on a property containing a former church, residence, and school buildings. Providence also provided the oversight for removal, confirmatory sampling, and regulatory closure of a heating oil UST at the site. The awards were presented by Dr. Chuck Carr Brown, LDEQ, and Carl Edlund, EPA Region 6.
