Providence Donates 2014 Providence Corporate Cup Proceeds to Two Local Non-profits

Providence Donates 2014 Providence Corporate Cup Proceeeds to the Big Buddy Program and Mid City Redevelopment Alliance - Reconfirms Commitment to Corporate Wellness in Baton Rouge Area
 

Providence presented the Big Buddy Program and the Mid City Redevelopment Alliance (MCRA) each with a $16,000 check after closing out the 2014 race. This is the 7th year Providence has presented the Providence Corporate Cup proceeds to these two organizations. This 2014 check presentation brings the total contributions from Providence to Big Buddy and MCRA to almost $200,000. Both donations will be used for operational expenses, a much needed and appreciated boost to Big Buddy and MCRA’s bottom line.

“We are humbled by the work both Big Buddy and MCRA do in Baton Rouge,” said Race Chair, Whitney Tiemann. “It’s a real honor to share the corporate wellness mission of building strong employees, strong companies, and strong communities with these much deserving organizations. We are also grateful for all our participants and sponsors and look forward to an even better race in 2015,” she added. 

The date for the 2015 Providence Corporate Cup is Saturday, March 21, 2015. The race will begin in downtown Baton Rouge at North Boulevard Town Square.
