Providence & Byron Talbot Inc. Complete Terrebonne’s First Roundabout 91 Days Ahead of Schedule

A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the opening of Terrebonne Parish's first traffic roundabout. Providence Engineering and Design Group, LLC (formerly Providence/GSE Associates, LLC) was the project engineer on this project and Byron E. Talbot Contractors, Inc. was the contractor on the job. It was completed 91 days ahead of schedule, even with 70 days of rain. Parish and state transportation officials say the Westside Boulevard extension should help alleviate some traffic congestion driving through Houma. Providence Company Manager Clay Breaud said the roundabout, making the extension a very unique project, would reduce congestion, and in turn, collisions.
