Providence Acquires Oris – Enhances Air Quality Dispersion Modeling, Training, and Software Products

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana – January 7, 2014 – Providence has successfully completed the acquisition of Oris, a privately-held market leader in environmental software and services.

Providence, headquartered in Baton Rouge, LA, acquired Oris in order to provide a holistic solution for its clients’ air quality needs.  Providence/Oris is the new home of the most efficient, effective, and powerful graphical user interfaces available for dispersion modeling (BEEST). Products and services acquired as a part of this acquisition include the BEEST suite of products for dispersion modeling, BEESTXpress - a high-speed dispersion modeling system, dispersion modeling consulting services, custom programming and software services, and meteorological data processing. Providence/Oris will offer AERMOD and advanced AERMOD training classes across the US and internationally.
