The name Providence, by definition, means “making provisions for the future”. Our name highlights the emphasis we place on the future and the roads that will take us there. We aim to provide for our clients long into the future, and accordingly, we maintain their best interests as our focus. Providence’s professionals value the relationships we develop with our clients and we think the results of our passion are evident in every deliverable we produce.
Providence is a family of companies comprised of several related affiliates:
Providence Engineering and Environmental Group LLC: Formed in 2000, this company has approximately 100 engineers, environmental scientists and support staff and performs engineering and environmental projects for governmental and industrial clients with offices in Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi.
Higher Ground Flood Protection Services, LLC: Acquired in 2006, this company has merged into the Planning Group within Providence Engineering and Environmental Group. They perform comprehensive planning and hazard mitigation projects for Louisiana cities and parishes.
Providence Technical Services, LLC: Formed in 2008, Providence Technical is primarily a staffing company that provides engineers, environmental scientists, insurance adjusters, debris monitors and other qualified staff as needed by clients in government and industry. These services are provided both nationally and internationally to meet project-specific needs.
Providence Critical Infrastructure Protection, LLC: Formed in 2008, CIP provides security, surveillance, infrastructure protection along with complete environmental, health and safety services to industries and governments around the world. CIP is staffed on a project specific basis with highly skilled individuals accustomed to working internationally.
Providence/GSE or GSE Associates, LLC: Acquired in 2009, Providence/GSE is a 28 employee civil engineering design and surveying firm based in Houma, Louisiana that primarily serves Gulf Coast area local governments and levee districts.
The Providence Family of companies work autonomously, but share support services, and combine in teams or share employees and expertise as required to meet or exceed client expectations. The Providence culture highlights flexibility and diversity in an effort to ensure fulfill employee career aspirations and continually expand services and service areas.
